Quarantine life: Learning to Slow Down

I spent the first half of #quarantinelife buried in journal articles. I was obsessively reading and extracting relevant information from medical journals to produce educational content for my blog.â €

I spent the second half of quarantine life in a panic trying to figure out how to bring Theo home from Australia. Once we got him home, it took about 4 days to get him back on a regular sleep schedule. â €

Today, for the first time in a long time, I felt a sense of normalcy. â €

My usual grocery store was fully stocked with fresh produce and meat, and I got to spend Sunday Funday with my three favorite boys doing normal family stuff. â €

Quarantine life has truly taught me to slow down. I learned to stop worrying about renovating my laundry room or getting my postpartum body back or cooking all organic foods all the time. â €

These last few days, I learned to enjoy a damn good brownie with ice cream on top while binging on a TV show with my best friend till midnight. I honestly cannot believe it has been almost three years since my husband and I started a new TV series. And I hate to admit it, but I’m loving this Netflix and chill life. 😂 ⠀

Right now, I’m just going to sit here and enjoy my simple life. The life that does not include a schedule or a to-do list. The life that forces me to truly spend time with my family in the comfort of our home. ⠀
