Here are some practical tips to help you get through this difficult time: ?

First aid kit: ?

?Tylenol for fever reduction?

?Anti-histamines (Claritin/ Allegra/Zyrtec)  and steroid nasal spray (Flonase) for congestion and cough?

?Prescribed inhalers and nebulizer for shortness of breath and wheezing (those with chronic asthma or respiratory illnesses)?

?Thermometer for check your temperature?

?All your prescription medications ?

 

Foods you should buy: ?

?Foods you love to eat (preferably healthier options: nuts, legumes, beans, rice, fish, veggies, meat, fruits, quinoa).?

 

Foods you should NOT buy: ?

?Foods you don’t like to eat ?

?Heavily processed foods (junk foods: Spam, Doritos, soda, refined sugar) ?

Best way to boost your immune system:?

?Sleep 8 hours at night ?

?Increase hydration ?

?Be active for at least 30-45 minutes a day ?

?Eat a whole food, nutrient- dense diet that is minimally processed ?

?Minimize your stress?

?Wash your hands frequently?

?Meditate and just breath ?

?Sanitize and clean all surfaces ?

 

I cannot stress the importance of minimizing your anxiety and stress. If the body is under constant stress, it makes it nearly impossible for it to heal. ?

If watching the news or listening to influencers talk about the Coronavirus makes you more anxious, then turn it off. Under high levels of stress, your immune system weakens. As a result, you are at higher risk for contracting Covid. ?
